From September 26th to October 1st, an epic series of culinary collaborations took place throughout San Francisco, courtesy of the Tastemaker Collective. International Taste Festival chefs were paired with the best of the best in the Bay Area to create one of a kind dining experiences at Rich Table, Cala, Tartine Manufactory, Coi, and Atelier Crenn! On Thursday, September 28th, our very own Chef Matt Abergel joined Chef Evan Rich at RichTable where they collaborated on an izakaya-meets-California cuisine style menu. Highlights included Sanma Tartare, Octopus with hearts of palm and togarashi, and Quail Karaage with orange and sansho pepper. Matt also participated in the Tastemaker Collective’s first-ever “Nightclub for Food” at Fort Mason, which featured curated bites, hand-crafted cocktails, and unique chef demonstrations.
