Two weeks ago, Chef Matt Abergel and some members of the Yardbird and RŌNIN team traveled to New York City for 2 special pop-up events. The first event was hosted by Chefs Club Counter, the latest concept from Chefs Club by Food & Wine. Matt was the first Chef to take over this space for dinner service and for two nights, he cooked up all of the Yardbird classics alongside Head Chef Nick Chan. Our Beverage Director, Elliot Faber, curated the drinks list, which featured Sunday’s Sake, Sunday’s Coffee Shochu, Ohmine Junmai Daiginjo, Arteis & Co. Brut Champagne, and more!
With the yakitori on deck and the hip hop playlist blaring, the team was able to recreate the true Yardbird experience in NYC. Check out some photos from this epic feast below:
