There’s nothing better than a refreshing, gingery cocktail on a warm spring night. And when you combine rum and sake into the mix, you really can’t go wrong! Our Head Bartender, Geoff Marett, has created an original ginger-inspired cocktail that provides the ultimate peppery pick-me-up, so make sure to order the Shoga Myoga the next time you’re at Yardbird! INGREDIENTS:
1 Slice Fresh Ginger
1/2 lime
1/2 tsp. Muscovado Sugar
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
50 ml Flor de Caña Rum
30 ml Shogashu Ginger Sake
Wilkinson Ginger Ale
Myoga Bud for Garnish
1. Muddle fresh ginger slice, half lime, muscovado sugar, and Angostura Bitters in a shaker glass
2. Add Flor de Caña Rum and Shogashu Ginger Sake
3. Fill shaker with ice and medium shake
4. Double strain into a tall glass that’s already filled with fresh ice
5. Top up with Wilkinson Ginger Ale
6. Garnish with a myoga bud
